What Is SA516Gr.380 Steel Plates
SA516Gr.380 is austenitic fine grain steel in ASME standard. It is a carbon steel plate for welding pressure vessels with higher requirements for notch toughness. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, power station, boiler and other industries. Packing, marking and quality certificate shall comply with ASME SA20/SA20M.

SA516 Gr.380 steel plate heat treatment delivery status：
1, thickness less than or equal to 1.50in.(40mm) steel plate is usually supplied in rolled condition. Normalizing, or stress-relieving, or normalizing and stress-relieving steel plates can be ordered.
2, the thickness of the steel plate greater than 1.5in.(40mm) must be normalized.
3. Unless otherwise specified by the Buyer, when a notch toughness test is required for a steel plate thickness less than or equal to 1.5in(40mm), the steel plate shall be normalized.
4, if the demander agrees, in order to improve toughness is allowed to use greater than the cooling rate in the air, but the steel plate should be subsequently tempered in the range of 1100~1300°F(595~705 ° C).
SA516 Gr.380 steel plate technical standard: ASME SA-516/SA-516M is identical to ASTM standard A516 /A 516M-06.
