02.Is it difficult to machine? Can it be drilled and welded?

It requires alloy drill bits, low-hydrogen welding rods, and preheating. As long as you follow standard operating procedures, there are no issues. Additionally, it exhibits minimal deformation during cutting, resulting in higher precision during assembly and welding.

03.For which equipment is it suitable?

It is suitable for sliding wear applications such as mining car bodies, buckets, chutes, and hoppers; however, it is not recommended for areas subject to severe impact or repeated bending.

04.Is it too brittle?

It will not fracture under normal operating conditions, but caution is advised in high-impact scenarios involving large rocks. We recommend selecting NM400 or adding a backing plate.

05.Will the weight affect the equipment?

Its density is the same as that of ordinary steel, but thinner gauges can be used (e.g., 12 mm instead of 20 mm). Proper selection can actually reduce weight.
