American standard A514GrF is a high strength weldable steel plate quenched and tempered according to ASTM standards.
Mainly used in places that require high tensile and high yield, such as engineering automotive lifting gears, large excavators, and rack for offshore platforms generally use A514GrF. Hardness between 235-290, yield > 630MPa, tensile strength above 700MPa.
A517GrF steel plate should be heat treated: in a tempering state, the steel plate is heated to not less than 900 ° C, quenched in water or oil, and tempered at not less than 620 ° C.
Main uses: Steel plate is used for the manufacture of coal mine hydraulic support, heavy vehicles, construction machinery and other steel structural parts requiring good weldability.
