Yield strength: not less than 490MPa.
Tensile strength: not less than 325MPa (there are also data pointing out that its tensile strength range is 490-610MPa).
Elongation: should be greater than or equal to 21%.
Impact temperature: 20°C.
Chemical composition：
Carbon (C) : ≤0.20%.
Silicon (Si) : ≤0.55%.
Manganese (Mn) : ≤1.60%.
Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) : neither exceeds 0.035%.
Other characteristics
Low temperature toughness:
SM490B steel plate has good low temperature toughness, suitable for use in low temperature environment.
Corrosion resistance:
The steel plate also has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in corrosive environments such as the ocean.
Pickling treatment:
