Products Description
Low-temperature toughness: A516Gr70 is a carbon steel plate for medium and low-temperature pressure vessels, suitable for environments above -45° C. It can maintain good impact toughness even under low-temperature conditions (verified through Charpy V-notch impact tests).
Chemical composition: Low carbon content (≤0.27%) and appropriate amounts of manganese, silicon and other elements balance solderability and strength. Sulfur and phosphorus impurities are strictly controlled (≤0.035%).
Mechanical properties: Tensile strength ≥485MPa, yield strength ≥260MPa, elongation ≥17%, suitable for pressure-bearing component design.
Main application fields
A516GR70 Pressure vessels: Widely used in the manufacturing of containers that need to withstand medium and low pressure, such as petrochemical, natural gas storage tanks, reaction vessels, and boiler drums.
Energy industry: liquefied natural gas (LNG) equipment, nuclear power auxiliary facilities (non-nuclear-grade components), and desulfurization towers for thermal power plants.
Special environments: Due to its low-temperature performance, it is often used in oil and gas pipelines and storage and transportation equipment in cold regions.
