Chemical composition content of  A517Gr steel plate:

Carbon (C) : 0.10-0.20%. Carbon is the main alloying element in steel and has a significant effect on the strength and hardness of steel. The right amount of carbon content can improve the strength and hardness of steel, but too high will lead to increased brittleness of steel.
Manganese (Mn) : 0.60-1.00%. Manganese in steel as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer, can improve the strength and hardness of steel, improve the cold working performance of steel, and help to improve the hardenability of steel.
