S355J2 is a European standard hot-rolled structural steel product, belonging to the European standard low-alloy high-strength structural steel plate. Its implementation standard is EN10025 special technical conditions. There are two ways to express S355J2 steel plate, respectively: S355J2+N= normal rolling -20 ° C impact, S355J2=-20 ° C impact.

The chemical composition of S355J2 mainly includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S). The specific ingredients are as follows:
- Carbon content (C) : usually below 0.20%.
Silicon content (Si) : usually below 0.55%.
- Manganese content (Mn) : usually below 1.60%.

- Sulfur content (S) : usually below 0.025%.

- Yield Strength: up to 355 MPa.
- Elongation (Elongation) : at 25 mm scale, the minimum is 20%.
Impact Toughness: Impact toughness is 27 joules (J) at the lowest temperature.
