- Strong Heat Treatment Adaptability: Supplied in hot-rolled condition by default; grain refinement can be achieved through normalizing (N condition) to enhance low-temperature toughness.

- Fundamental corrosion resistance: Sulfur and phosphorus content ≤0.035% each, minimizing intergranular corrosion caused by sulfides and phosphides. Manganese and silicon synergistically form a dense oxide film, providing protection against atmospheric and weak acid/alkali corrosion.

Recommendation: Use A516 Gr70 for normal boilers and pressure vessels operating below 450°C. Use A515 Gr70 only if your design temperature consistently exceeds 450°C.
